Terms of Use

1. Acceptance of Terms

By downloading, installing, and using the Bessie app, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Use. If you do not agree to these terms, you must not use the app.

2. Description of Service

Bessie is an app for dog owners that allows you to register, track, and manage information about your dog, including health, weight, activities, and veterinary visits.

3. User Account

The Bessie app uses your personal iCloud account for data synchronization and access across devices. We do not collect names, email addresses, or other personally identifiable information. You are responsible for securing access to your iCloud account and for all activity that occurs under your user in the app.

4. User Data

You retain ownership of all data you enter into the app. All data is stored exclusively on your device and in your personal iCloud account. We do not collect, transfer, or store any of your data on our servers or with third parties. We do not use any third-party analytics tools to monitor your use of the app.

5. User Responsibilities

You are responsible for all information you enter into the app. Do not enter false or misleading information. The app is not a substitute for professional veterinary care.

You must not:

  • Use the app in a way that violates applicable laws or regulations
  • Attempt to gain unauthorized access to other users' data or the system backend
  • Use the app to distribute malware or unwanted advertisements
  • Recreate, copy, or modify any part of the app without permission

6. Availability and Updates

We strive to keep the app available at all times, but we do not guarantee 100% uptime. We may temporarily suspend access for maintenance or updates.

We reserve the right to update the app at any time, including adding or removing features. We will do our best to notify you of significant changes.

7. Third-Party Services

The app does not contain any third-party services for data collection or analytics. All information you enter in the app remains on your device and in your personal iCloud account. We do not use any third-party servers to store your data.

8. Limitation of Liability

To the extent permitted by law, the Bessie app and its owners shall not be held liable for direct, indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from the use of the app, including but not limited to errors or omissions in content, personal injury, or property damage.

9. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your access to the app with or without notice if you violate these terms. You can terminate your use of the app at any time by uninstalling it. To permanently delete all your data, you can use the 'Sign Out' function in the app, which will remove all local data, and then remove the app from your devices.

10. Changes to Terms

We may change these Terms of Use from time to time. The latest version will always be available in the app. By continuing to use the app after changes, you accept the revised terms.

11. Governing Law

These terms are governed by Norwegian law, and any disputes shall be resolved exclusively in Norwegian courts.
